Lets Talk Delta 8!

My first initial thought was WTF is this?! You know going out your way to buy

something, get home, open it up and "Delta 8" is all you see!.....Now I'm thinking

did I just get played?

Rest assured Delta 8 is "almost" identical to Delta 9, which is just THC 😎. This is just another form of cannabinoid, So basically.. Consider THC to be the mom, CBD is the child then boom CBD has a kid which would create ✨DELTA 8✨. Who doesn't like a couple options? This might be the thing we didn't know we needed.

Where did Delta 8 come from?

To my surprise Delta 8 came from CBD. CBD mixed with glacial acetic acid(The baby father to CBD), a couple other steps then boom outcomes.... Delta 8. To my surprise Delta 8 has been around for quite some time, Its only just now being mainstream . Popping up in many of my local Cannabis shops, becoming over all more available than ever.

Now the name behind the creation is an organic chemist named Raphael Mechoulam, You know the Father of Cannabis. The discovery of THC just wasn't enough for the man he went and threw something else on us, I love it!

Does Delta 8 Get You High?

In my opinion it does get you high, now it wont get you as high as Marijuana but its pretty much the same. THC's formula is C₂₁H₃₀O₂ , Delta 8's formula is C₂₁H₃₀O₂. That's looking a bit "I'm High" to me. Make sure to keep this in mind on your upcoming drug tests.

Some Cannabis shops go as far as selling Delta 8 pre rolls, moonrocks, and Dabs. I was honestly surprised at all the products offered, This is like one of those things, you woke up and it was just there, some of my local shops started popping up with Delta 8 products and something else called CBG. Its the evolution in the cannabis field for me.

I was definitely ecstatic to see Delta 8 was offered in my all time favorite, Gummy form. I've personally come across Mgs as high as 1250, I'm no lite weight but that's what I consider high that's about 25/50 Mg per gummy considering how many come inside the pack.

THC OR DELTA 8?

This all comes down to preference. Delta 8 is known to have more milder effects as opposed to Marijuana , Yet still has the same effects, basically you can still count on those midnight munchies.

Delta 8 can be consumed the exact same way as Marijuana and comes with the same variety of strains. If you're someone who has tried marijuana and didn't like those strong effects (i.e. Becoming a couch potato, a little delayed on judgement) then Delta 8 is a great alternative.

Now me personally I like my couch potato ways, getting dazed off jamming out to my favorite music, waiting for my oven pizza, yet somehow forgetting to start the oven 🤣. Now say if I want that "buzz" without the stuck over relaxed drowsy feeling I know to give that Delta 8 a go. We got the best of both worlds out here. Delta 8 vs CBD

Delta 8 is nothing like CBD in any way shape or form. Thou both from the cannabinoid family they give off two totally different effects. CBD is mainly for healing as Delta 8 is for recreational use. Keep in mind Delta 8 has the same Chemical properties as Marijuana, You can fail a drug test from the use of it, CBD does not.

Delta 8 is your go to if you're looking for that euphoric feeling. Consider this Marijuana's younger sister, Don't go buying Delta 8 if you're looking for something that'll take those aches and pains away, This is not that. Remember to always confirm with you physician that this is the right thing for you. I would take about the same precautions with Delta 8 as I would with THC (I.E., No driving or operating heavy machinery.) Call me MD.
